Since 2018, Kydemy has been offering management software solutions primarily for schools and academies in various artistic disciplines. With its innovative cloud-based software, Kydemy provides a platform where schools can manage everything from one place: class and course scheduling, attendance tracking, payment and debt monitoring, communication with students, families, and teachers, among other features.
However, Kydemy identified that certain tasks, like tracking student attendance, can be tedious and prone to being forgotten by teachers. Seeing this opportunity, the company decided to automate the attendance process, saving time and resources and relieving teachers of this responsibility.
To achieve this, they created a native app for iOS and Android tablets that reads QR codes generated from the Kydemy app used by students and teachers. With a simple scan of the QR code, students can confirm their attendance and record their entry time.
How does it work?
With Kydemy's new automated attendance app, taking attendance is incredibly simple, easy, and quick.
The app is downloaded onto the classroom tablet, and it’s always on, with the QR reader ready. There, the student or family member (in the case of young children or siblings) simply opens the Kydemy app, taps on the QR icon, and scans the code using the tablet’s reader.
To confirm that the code has been read correctly, the student's profile, including their photo and full name, will appear on the tablet’s screen. Additionally, the app will display any outstanding payments or a list of the classes they will be attending.
What are the benefits?
The automated attendance app allows schools and academies for dance, music, art, or languages to:
- Automatically track daily attendance upon entry
- Save time during classes
- Display details of any outstanding payments if the student has a debt
- Notify internal administrators if a user with outstanding payments attempts to access a class
- Integrate with an access management system compatible with APIs.
